Michael Kost worked as a research scientist in the field of a sustainable development of Constructed Switzerland. In December 2005, he finished his Ph.D. thesis on long-term energy savings and CO2 emission reductions in the Swiss residential building sector. From 2005 to 2008 he was coordinating the teaching activities of Environmental Physics and heads the Laboratory Course in Physics for the bachelor courses of the School Domain for Earth, Environment and Natural Resources (S-ENETH) at ETH Zurich.
